Rara Willow is a organic loose leaf white tea made with only one bud and a leaf that is rolled and dried at a high temperature, giving it a unique flavor profile. Its straw-hued liquor has notes of apricot, clover honey, dried orange peel, and subtle hints of toasted wheat and dried parsley. This tea can be enjoyed by itself as a light breakfast tea or a lively afternoon tea.

A silvery bud and one tender first leaf are plucked early in the morning or late afternoon. The leaves are then withered overnight with a constant supply of natural air. Early in the morning, the leaves are hand-rolled and then allowed to rest for one to two hours. Once the rolled leaves begin changing color, they are lightly machine-rolled for 15 minutes and then dried immediately with low heat. Finally high heat drying increases the flavor profile and shelf life of this lovely white tea. The leaves emit extraordinary sweet grassy aromas. The cup reveals a sweet and crispy profile, with a lovely floral aroma. The finish reveals refreshing hints of orange and lemon.

Emerald Green is an aromatic and refined green tea with delicate, twisted emerald-hued leaves. Only the very first spring harvest is used to make this tea and all of the wonders of Nepali spring air are captured within its leaves. This tea has a sweet and slightly floral liquor with subtle notes of zucchini, dried gardenia, and almonds that are accented by subtle hints of steamed spinach and dried lily. It is a wonderful tea to enjoy throughout the day.

The very first harvest is set aside for the production of our Emerald Green tea. Only the first bud and a leaf or the first two leaves and a bud of the spring season are selected to make this tea. The reason for this selection is to harness all the natural freshness of spring tea that comes out only at the beginning of the season. The hand-plucked leaves are immediately taken to the factory and undergo a process of conditioning. The leaves are then jet-steamed on a perforated tray and immediately cooled by blowing cold air. The cooled leaves are rolled and then oven-dried. This tea has a distinct spring briskness and a flowery aroma with a flavor that leaves you with a lingering sweet aftertaste.

Himalayan Pearls are steamed and rolled green tea with a captivating floral and lightly toasted aroma. Dark green, chlorophyll-rich, one or two leaves and a bud are plucked to make this special tea. Its smooth green liquor has well-developed notes of artichoke hearts and dried magnolia. As the tender leaves unfurl, delicate hints of bean sprouts, pine nuts, and steamed asparagus develop. This tea’s captivating aroma and liquor will make you want to enjoy the tea more.

Tender one or two first leaves and a bud from select bushes with darker green leaves, which generally have a higher chlorophyll content, are selected from the garden for the preparation of our steamed Green Pearls. The leaves are withered gently for around 2 hours under cool conditions with good air circulation, then jet steamed under perforated trays. The newly steamed leaves are immediately cooled and rolled with a machine roller for 30 minutes. The leaves are allowed to rest for around 30 minutes and then shaped into small pearls. Shaping is carried out in a shaping machine and then finally dried in an oven dryer for around 1.5 hours at 110 Degree Celsius.
