Amber-Hued Nepal Oolong with Caramel & Marmalade Depth

Annapurna Amber Organic Oolong Tea is a rare, high-mountain Nepal oolong tea from the Ilam highlands, crafted in a Darjeeling-style roll for a smooth, complex cup. The amber liquor layers rich caramel and malt with bright marmalade, toasted grain and walnut notes that deepen over multiple steeps. Small-batch, USDA Organic and single-origin, this loose leaf oolong is the gold standard of high-elevation organic oolong tea from Nepal.

Why You'll Love It

  • Award-winning craft: 2nd Place Dark Oolong at the North American Tea Championship.
  • High-mountain origin: grown around 6,500 ft in Ilam, Nepal's premier tea region.
  • Darjeeling-style craft: rolled oolong with a clear amber liquor and layered complexity.
  • Signature flavor: caramel, malt and marmalade with nutty, toasted wheat undertones.
  • Steady, smooth energy: moderate caffeine for a focused lift without harsh jitters.

Perfect if you love rich, aromatic oolong teas and want a premium, high-elevation Nepal oolong that can anchor a daily ritual or impress guests.

How to Brew Annapurna Amber

  1. Heat the water: Heat fresh, filtered water to 190–195°F (just off a rolling boil).
  2. Measure the leaf: Place 1 to 1.5 teaspoons (2–3 grams) of Annapurna Amber loose leaf into your infuser or teapot per 8 oz cup.
  3. Steep: Pour the hot water over the leaves and steep for 2 to 3 minutes — shorter for a softer cup, longer for deeper intensity.
  4. Re-steep: Re-steep the same leaves 2 to 3 times, adding 15 to 30 seconds to each successive infusion to reveal new caramel, marmalade, and walnut notes.

For a softer, more delicate cup, start closer to 190°F. For a deeper, dessert-like cup, brew nearer 195°F and slightly increase leaf instead of over-steeping.
