Thoughtfully Blended for Mind & Body

At Nepali Tea Traders, we’ve spent over a decade sourcing teas that do more than just taste good. The Makalu Mint blend combines the antioxidant power of high-altitude green tea with functional botanicals used for centuries in traditional wellness.

Important note: Only the green tea base is USDA Organic; this blend is not a USDA Organic product.

Botanicals & Functional Notes

Inside the Blend

  • Organic green tea base: Rich in EGCG and polyphenols, our high-grown Himalayan green tea provides a gentle, jitter-free energy boost and supports metabolic health.
  • Spearmint for clarity: More delicate than peppermint, spearmint is known for its ability to help soothe the stomach and may support cognitive focus.
  • Fennel for digestion: These aromatic seeds are traditionally used to reduce bloating and support digestive comfort after meals.
  • Eucalyptus & citron: This unique pairing provides a natural “respiratory lift,” offering a cooling sensation that clears the senses and refreshes the palate.

Brew Guide (No Bitterness)

  • Temperature: 160°F (71°C)
  • Amount: 1–2 tsp per 8 oz cup
  • Steep time: 2–3 minutes

For iced tea, brew slightly stronger, then pour over ice.

Brewing Pro-Tip

Why 160°F matters

Most people make the mistake of using boiling water (212°F) on green tea, which can overwhelm tender leaves and create a bitter, astringent taste. At 160°F, the high-altitude Himalayan green tea base stays smooth and clean—unlocking natural sweetness and letting the subtle eucalyptus and citrus notes shine.

Crafted for a crisp, cooling finish with a bright golden cup and clean, citrusy lift.
