The journey begins with the careful hand-plucking of buds and leaves in the cool morning air, followed by a meticulous withering process. The fresh leaves are sun-withered for about 30 minutes, then brought indoors for overnight withering under a controlled flow of cold, dry air. During this phase, the leaves are gently rustled by hand, enhancing their texture and aroma. By dawn, the withered leaves are transferred to the rolling room, where they are lightly rolled and allowed to undergo a slow and natural oxidation.
