We stand behind the quality of every tea and teaware item we sell. If you're not satisfied with your order, this policy explains how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds. Questions? Email contact@nepaliteatraders.com with subject "Return Request" and your order number — we respond within 2 business days.
1) Return Window & Eligibility
- Our return window is 30 days from the delivery date.
- To be eligible, items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, and in the original packaging.
- Please do not send your purchase back without first contacting us for a Return Authorization (see Section 8).
- A receipt or proof of purchase is required for all returns.
Non-returnable items:

Opened tea or any other perishable/consumable goods. Tea is a food product — once the seal is broken, we cannot resell it for health and safety reasons.
- Gift cards
- Downloadable or digital products
- Certain health and personal care items (if applicable)
- Items marked Final Sale
2) Items We Cannot Accept After 30 Days
If 30 days have passed since your delivery date, we're unable to offer a refund or exchange except where required by law.
3) Partial Refunds (When Applicable)
We may grant a partial refund in the following situations:
- Items not in original condition (not due to our error)
- Missing parts or accessories (such as teaware components)
- Returns initiated after the 30-day window but within a reasonable grace period, at our discretion
4) Refunds
- Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll email you within 2 business days to approve or deny the refund.
- If approved, we'll issue a refund to your original payment method. Processing typically appears on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't seen your refund after 10 business days:
- Check your bank or credit card statement again — refunds sometimes appear later than purchase charges.
- Contact your card issuer. Posting times can vary by institution.
- Contact your bank to confirm there are no pending transactions.
- If you still don't see it, email contact@nepaliteatraders.com and we'll investigate from our end.
5) Sale Items
Only regular-priced items are eligible for a full refund. Sale and Final Sale items are not refundable unless they are defective or damaged on arrival (see Section 6).
6) Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will replace or refund it at no cost to you. Email contact@nepaliteatraders.com with photos and your order number within 7 days of the delivery scan.
- If approved, we'll exchange for the same item, or a comparable item if the original is out of stock, or issue a refund — your choice.

7) Gifts
- If the item was marked as a gift at checkout and shipped directly to you, you may receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once we receive and approve the return, we'll email you a gift certificate.
- If the order was not marked as a gift, or if it was shipped to the gift giver, any refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
8) How to Start a Return
- Email contact@nepaliteatraders.com with your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
- We'll reply within 2 business days with a Return Authorization and the correct shipping address for your return.
- Pack items securely in the original packaging and include your order number inside the box so we can match it on receipt.
Please do not send returns without first obtaining a Return Authorization — unauthorized returns may be delayed or refused. This process also ensures we can track your return properly and issue your refund without delay.
9) Return Shipping Costs

You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or we made an error in fulfilling your order.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, original shipping costs and (if applicable) the cost of a prepaid return label may be deducted from your refund amount.
- For items valued over $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and/or shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee we will receive your returned item without tracking, and we cannot be responsible for lost return packages without proof of delivery.
10) Processing Times for Exchanges
Exchange delivery times vary by destination and carrier. Once your exchange is approved and shipped, you'll receive a tracking email. U.S. exchanges typically arrive within 3–7 business days from ship date. International exchanges require a separate shipping quote.
