  • Snow Leopard Black Tea | Premium Nepali Tea

Snow Leopard is a spring-picked black tea made with hand-picked leaves and buds and uses a unique oxidation process where the tea develops wine-like characteristics. Notes of cocoa powder, red currant, and caramel are accented by notes of clover honey and muscat grape. This tea can be enjoyed over many steeps.

This exquisite black tea is produced with the finest hand-picked leaves and buds and is prepared with similar perfection to Lhotse Black Tea. However, the key difference is in the season of tea growth and the fermentation process. During the tea-making process, an anaerobic method is used for fermentation or oxidation. While in Lhotse Black preparation a constant flow of natural mist is applied during oxidation, whereas in Snow Leopard, the mist is completely disallowed and the tea is allowed to get oxidized with the available oxygen within the leaf. A chunk of tea mass is compressed so as to allow an anaerobic natural reaction to take place so that the sweet character is attained with a hint of Winey taste with a darker reddish infusion and liquor profile.
