Pokhara is named after the colorful Nepalese city, Pokhara, located on the ancient trading route between India and China. Its pale amber liquor has notes of arugula, asparagus, and toasted barley, accented by hints of toasted pine nut and turnip. This is a classic Nepalese green tea that can be enjoyed, hot or iced, and pairs well with a light meal.
Pokhara lies in the northwestern corner of a stunning green valley. Our tea is named for the area, which is the base of the popular Annapurna Circuit Trek. Our outstanding flagship green tea provides a springtime aroma and flavor and a bright, clean finish. According to health experts, one cup of green tea daily can provide significant health benefits. This tea stays clear when cold-brewed.
One heaping teaspoon of tea per 8 ounce cup. Cool boiling water for 3 minutes, then steep tea 1 - 2 minutes.
Pokhara is always so clean and bright. It gives a wonderful start at breakfast, and can provide additional cups through the day with no astringency. You can brew this tea many ways and always get a happy result.
Dear Karl, We are always thrilled to know that you enjoyed our Pokhara Classic Green Tea. Thank you so much for your great feedback and for supporting NTT. We truly appreciate it!
This is a great green tea if you are a lover of green teas, which I am not. Still I drink it for health and find that it is a tangy tasting green tea.
You just can't believe how good this tea is. I have been drinking green tea for years, but now I feel like I've been doing it wrong. I am glad that I found Nepali Tea Traders. Their teas are incredible. The leaves are full without any broken pieces and have a wonderful, full fragrance and taste. You can enjoy this tea hot and is even better iced. I have been making large pitchers of cold-brewed tea and now I am a huge fan of it.
This is a very smooth and well-rounded green tea. It is savory, with notes of stewed greens and fresh nuts, yet it is also deliciously floral. The astringency is lower than a Darjeeling green without sacrificing any flavor. Excellent in quality and taste. I tried this tea since it is from the Himalayan Region. This is a very unique Green Tea. I will for sure recommend this product to others.
Green Tea is my favorite tea although I do have several different brands in the house. This tea really does come fresh and has a nice aroma and flavor that, of course, you can vary depending on what you feel like. I am not an expert on tea, I just go by what I like and I really do like this tea. So far I have had it hot and as we are getting hotter outside I made some Iced tea and it was delicious. I do recommend you give this tea a try and see if you become a fan too.
Thank you for your feedback. We are thrilled to know that you are enjoying it hot or iced. Cheers!!
