Picked in the spring, Premium Spring Tippy has a vibrant, golden liquor with notes of green grape, demerara sugar, and fresh almond, accented by notes of wheat and caramel. The very first buds and new leaves are picked with precision, then withered, rolled and naturally oxidized. Once the optimum flavor profile is achieved, the tea is wood-fired.
One teaspoon of tea per 8 ounce cup. Cool boiling water for 1 minute, then steep tea 4 minutes. Tea can be steeped more than once.
I was pleased with the tea, fairly mild flavour and nice astringency. The packaging, however, failed almost immediately and I lost a couple grams of tea as a result. The zipper strip came loose from the sides of the bag and we had to transfer the contents to an airtight container in order to preserve freshness. It is frustrating to see so much attention given to flashy bags and labels when the primary use is neglected. The price point was nice but I will not likely buy from this company again.

Though it looks green, It is a black tea. I quite like the soft and sweet flavors of this tea. There is no astringency at all and it is extremely soothing. It can be enjoyed any time of the day. A must try!
This particular tea is very exotic and presents a flavor profile which is quite unexpected given the color of its infusion. A very interesting tea indeed. Certainly worth trying. I highly recommend it.
