Ama Dablam is an autumn-picked, silver-tipped white tea named after a breathtaking mountain peak in Eastern Nepal. This elegant tea has a delicate, golden straw liquor. It is expertly processed with silvery buds and one leaf and has notes of sweetgrass, water chestnut, and dried gardenia with accents of dried lemon peel and marjoram. It is the perfect tea to enjoy hot or iced.
Two teaspoons of tea per 8 ounce cup. Cool boiling water for 2 minutes, then steep tea 2 - 3 minutes.
This tea is perfect for a mid-morning warm-up: it fills me with warm fragrant pleasure. It took a few tries (pouring the leaves into my palm to measure before popping them into the tea ball) to get the amount right in the big mug: sometimes the leaves and very thin stems curl so that they're taking up more space than usual, once they're released from the tightly packed bag they come in.

Enjoyed my first cuppa Ama Dablam this morning. Enjoyable tea, very smooth and a clean taste. Would make an excellent iced tea!! No astringency at all. As a hot tea, leaves something to be desired, maybe more robustness (?). As far as white teas go, this comes in as a satisfactory #2 to Rara Willow.
Best tasting white peony tea ever! Lovemaking this as iced tea, perfect as is, no sugar needed. The tea is light, fresh taste. Very pleased with this white peony.
I bought Ama Dablam White and it is now my favorite tea. It's a very fine and delicious tea it's mellow and sweet. Delicious tea with excellent quality. Try it iced! You'll never drink regular iced tea again. A great way to cut out sugar!
Absolutely wonderful flavor - light, fruity and great to sip on all day long. Also good to blend with other loose teas. I have a travel tea mug, and even after steeping for a long time it does not get bitter. Good for second or third fill, too!
